Some stories stay with you long after you've heard them. Harry Blight's is one of those stories.

In September 2025, Harry lost his father after a long struggle with his mental health. The months that followed were some of the most difficult that Harry and his family have ever faced. Through grief and heartbreak, Harry found comfort in something that had always connected him and his dad – football.

Now, Harry is turning that loss into something powerful.

To honour his father's memory and help raise awareness of mental health across the construction industry, Harry is taking on a special fundraising run in support of Mindflow, visiting some of the places that meant the most to his dad.

Reflecting on his motivation, Harry shared:

"My dad was passionate about everything he did, whether that was football with Arsenal and Rangers or his work within the construction industry. In the end, dad struggled with life and eventually the world became too much. He lost his battle in September 2025.

The months since have been the toughest that both I and my family have ever had to deal with. Through that grief, I found solace in football. I met Trevor in November and, after learning more about Mindflow and the vital work they do, I knew I wanted to support the cause.

And so I am running around a few of dad's favourite places. From his golf club, to the River Lea where he used to fish with my grandad and I, Hackney Marshes where he played football as a boy, finishing up at the beautiful Highbury and Emirates Stadium where we watched Arsenal play many times.

This run is for my dad, for everyone who is struggling in silence, and to help raise awareness of mental health and the importance of reaching out, speaking up, and supporting one another."

At Mindflow, we are incredibly proud that Harry has chosen to support our work in this way.

His challenge is about much more than running. It's about creating a legacy, starting conversations and helping ensure that fewer families experience the pain that he and his loved ones have endured.

Football has always been at the heart of Mindflow's approach. It brings people together, creates shared experiences, and opens doors to conversations that might otherwise never happen. Whether celebrating victories or navigating disappointments, football provides common ground and a sense of belonging.

For Harry, football represents cherished memories with his father. For Mindflow, it represents an opportunity to connect with people, break down stigma and encourage conversations about mental health across the construction industry.

Harry's courage in sharing his story is helping to shine a light on an issue that affects far too many people. His willingness to turn personal tragedy into positive action is both inspiring and deeply moving.

Over the coming weeks, we'll be following Harry's journey, sharing updates from his challenge and continuing to raise awareness of the mental health crisis facing our industry. Together, we hope to encourage more people to speak up, seek support and look out for one another.

A Message from Trevor Steven, CEO of Mindflow

"My heart goes out to Harry and his family, and to everyone else experiencing this pain. Harry's story is a powerful reminder of the crisis across our industry and the reason Mindflow exists.

I want to prevent people like Harry and his family from having to go through this devastation and heartbreak. As a former Rangers player, and with Harry's father being a Rangers fan, this story has particularly resonated with me. I hope Mindflow can play a small part in helping honour his legacy.

Harry, thank you for your bravery in sharing your story to help others within the industry. We are with you every step of the way."
