Bringing mental health support to the heart of your construction sites
Real conversations. On real sites. The Mindflow Talk Football Talk Mental Health programme brings former professional footballers into the heart of the construction industry — to kick off conversations that could save lives.

Introducing Match-Ups
Our Talk Football Talk Mental Health programme is delivered through short, on-site sessions we call Match-Ups. Each one is led by a Mindflow Ambassador — a former professional footballer with lived experience of pressure, silence, and resilience. These aren’t lectures or toolkits.
Each visit aims to:
-
Break the silence around mental health
-
Spark peer-led conversations on site
-
Connect workers with trusted support

Why football?
Football is a universal language. It bridges backgrounds, beliefs and job titles. And in a sector that’s 87% male, where stigma still stops many from speaking up, it can be the connection that makes a difference.
Many construction workers told us they found it easier to open up when the conversation started with something familiar — like football. And 67% of workers in the industry describe themselves as football fans.
That’s why our Match-Up sessions use football as the “in”.

Meet the people making it happen
Our Mindflow Ambassadors are former professionals who bring not only name recognition, but real-life stories of pressure, silence, and resilience. When they visit site, they connect. They listen. They show that speaking up isn't weakness — it's strength.
