Our approach is to join the dots between mental health, football and construction
Mindflow tackles the construction industry’s mental health crisis head on — combining football-powered outreach with clear, enforceable standards.

Why this works
There are clear links between football and construction environments. Both have their roots in working class culture and are high pressure, unpredictable environments where team spirit is everything.
Both have also been historically male-dominated and built around the myth of the ‘strong, silent’ hero. But both sectors are evolving and it’s time to break down those barriers and dispel the myths about ‘toughness’ that are still causing so much unnecessary pain.
Mindflow are empowering construction workers to be brave and tough enough to speak up for themselves, setting new benchmarks for on-site wellbeing, harnessing the power of football to break the silence.

The power of connection
Every day, two construction workers take their own lives.
Mindflow exists to change that - by connecting with workers where they are, in ways that truly resonate. This short video from the launch event for Mindflow brings together voices from across the construction industry to explain why our work matters, how football helps open doors, and what it means to create sites where mental health is taken as seriously as physical safety.
Mindflow in action. this year we will:
Our Mental Health Charter
The Mindflow Charter is our way of locking in change. It sets out consistent, industry-wide standards for how mental health should be supported on site — not just talked about. We're working with local authorities to embed these standards into publicly-funded projects, making support part of how sites are run, not just a side note.

Match-Ups: let's talk football talk mental health
Mindflow’s Match-Up Talk Football, Talk Mental Health sessions bring ex-footballers into the heart of construction, to kick off conversations that could save lives. Match-Ups are delivered in an informal, safe and secure environment and our Football Ambassadors share their stories, spark honest conversation and connect workers to support. These sessions break down the stigma by making mental health feel normalised and that it’s okay to talk about it.

Stronger together
Construction is one of the largest industries in the UK, everyone has a duty to support the workforce and help them thrive. Mindflow is developing partnerships with industry bodies, key stakeholders and other charities to strengthen its message, improve mental health across the sector and reduce suicide rates across the industry.

Join the movement
This isn’t just about awareness. It’s about action. Mindflow is here to build a healthier, safer construction industry for all — and we need your support.
