Who are Mindflow?
Mindflow, founded by Causeway Technologies is a charity championing positive mental health and bringing about positive change in the construction industry by harnessing the power of football. Shockingly two people lose their lives to suicide everyday within the construction industry and the workforce are four times more likely to experience mental health issues than the general population. These statistics are truly heartbreaking and show no sign of slowing down.
What do we do?
Mindflow’s unique approach cuts through to the workforce using the power of the badge. Through our signature sessions - Talk Football, Talk Mental Health, our team of ex-professional footballers and local heroes meet the site workers to share their stories of adversity and resilience. Through our recent survey, it was suggested that nearly three quarters of the construction workforce are classed as ‘football fans’. Talking about the match at the weekend is a powerful conversation starter and through our sessions, we hope to encourage the workforce to open up and chat.
What is our why?
Our mission is to foster a culture within the construction industry where mental health is openly discussed, understood, and prioritised. Our objectives include reducing the stigma associated with mental health issues, providing accessible support via referral partners to those in need, and equipping industry professionals with the knowledge and resource to maintain mental wellbeing. Mindflow aims to create an environment where mental health is a fundamental as physical health.
